Bell Family acquires Action Restoration and Cleaning
Fort Collins, CO - Fort Collins based restoration and cleaning company recently changed hands in a December transaction involving John Murphy II and Fort Collins resident, Rex Bell. As a result of Murphy wishing to pursue other interests, he sold Action Restoration and Cleaning to the Bell family. Per Murphy “after nearly 13 years of growing and operating a full service company, giving up Action was a difficult decision, but knowing the company will be in the hands of the Bells gives me confidence the company will continue to grow and serve our community”.
Bell recently left MWH Global after 30 years, where he was a Senior VP for the employee-owned, Broomfield based company that offers engineering, environmental, and construction services around the world.
Action Restoration and Property Services will become affiliated with another company Bell acquired in December, Steamboat Springs based Flood Suckers, the leading water mitigation company in the region. Both operations will be managed by Gregg Bell and supported by existing staff. Per Bell, “being a small business owner was always a dream and having a family business that helps others was the perfect outcome for us. We are also thankful that John Murphy will remain affiliated with the company going forward as his industry knowledge, management experience and marketing skills will be extremely beneficial to our plans for the future”.
Action specializes in water extraction, large loss water damage claims, CAT 3 mitigation, mold remediation, sewer clean-up and various other insurance-related contracting in northern Colorado and is also highly regarded for its carpet and rug care services. Steamboat Springs, CO – Flood Suckers, Steamboat’s iconic and largest water damage mitigation company, today announced that Rex Bell, a former Steamboat resident, acquired the company.
“Selling Flood Suckers was a difficult decision; knowing the company will be carried on in the hands of the Bell Family gives me great confidence Flood Suckers will continue its growth with the utmost integrity and serve our loyal community for many years to come” said Jon W. Sanders, founder of Flood Suckers.
Since moving from Steamboat in 2004, the Bells have resided in Fort Collins where Rex served as a Senior VP for MWH Global during a 30-year career that began in Steamboat. “We raised our family in Steamboat and are more than excited to reunite with the community. Steamboat will always be our home and we are greatly pleased to have another business location that allows us to serve the local community as well as all of northern Colorado” said Bell. The Bells also recently acquired Fort Collins-based Action Restoration & Property Services.
